Body-ObjECT-Image journal

The peridisciplinary publication “Corps-Objet-Image” (COI) brings together artists and researchers to explore the plural territories and thoughts of the contemporary performing arts.

An integral part of the Body-Object-Image project initiated by Renaud Herbin and developed at the head of the TJP Centre Dramatique National Strasbourg - Grand Est (CDN, dir. 2012 to 2022), it was conceived as a reflective and critical space that intends to open up and give thought to practices involving the Body-Object-Image relationship, thus extending the research and experimentation mission of a CDN.

Developed over the course of the CDN seasons and its highlight moments with artists and researchers : "Week-ends", Giboulées - COI Biennial, COI International Encounters, Cosmodélies... the Journal, in its editorial process, is as much about precipitating actions and encounters as it is about cultivating new possibilities.

Alice Godfroy, Mathieu Bouvier, Jérémy Damian, Emma Merabet, Julien Bruneau and Marie Urban, as well as Michaël Cros and Christophe Le Blay, coordinators of the Body-Object-Image platform, have been, collectively, within "editorial committees", alongside Renaud Herbin and the TJP staff, the journal’s designers >> overview in a few French words: here.

Five issues were published in paper version in February 2015, March 2016, March 2018, March 2020 and November 2022. They are available in some sales outlets or by order form >> please find the list and button access to the form here below.
